NCS Cachet
The First Day of Issue by the USPS for the Romare Bearden stamp was September 28, 2011. To honor Bearden and commemorate 100 years of collage as a fine art, The National Collage Soceity, Inc. created cachets with the very handsome postmark and a print of the collage titled, "Homage to Romare", original art by the founder of NCS, Gretchen Bierbaum. Each cachet has one stamp of the four different designs with Romare Bearden's collages.
